A NC Science Festival Event: Zero the Hero! : A Picture Book Event with author Joan Holub Recommended for ages 6-9.
Join North Carolina children's author Joan Holub who will be presenting her newest picture book, Zero the Hero. Zero believes that he is a hero, but the counting numbers think he is worthless until they get into trouble with some Roman numerals, and only Zero can help. This fun book will get young children thinking how fun numbers can be! Joan Holub has authored and/or illustrated over 120 children's books.

Got the book in the mail yesterday...he LOVES it. I've read it to him twice. He's tried to read it himself about 10 times. It's a very clever book. Will be posting a review on Amazon. :)
This is so good to hear, Linda! I was a huge superhero fan at his age and still am.
I love that you're reading to him. My mom did that when I was growing up and it helped turn me into a reader. Since he's already trying to read himself, you're obviously on the right track. Yay you!
